This 1967 Camaro RS/SS coupe is one of a reported 1,453 SS coupes built with an L35 396ci V8 and a three-speed automatic transmission, and it was sold new from Kelly Sales Company of Greenwood, Indiana. This 1967 Camaro RS/SS coupe is one of a reported 1,453 SS coupes built with an L35 396ci V8 and a three-speed automatic transmission, and it was sold new from Kelly Sales Company of Greenwood, Indiana. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2023 following a multi-year refurbishment under prior ownership that included repainting the body in Bolero Red, re-trimming the interior in black, and overhauling the 396ci V8. A Winters-stamped intake manifold was installed, the Holley four-barrel carburetor was rebuilt, and the rocker panels were refinished under current ownership. Equipment includes a center console, 14″ Rally wheels, concealed headlamps, and a dual exhaust system with full-length headers and Flowmaster mufflers.
The car was repainted in Bolero Red (R) with a white nose stripe and a black tail panel during the refurbishment under prior ownership. The rocker panels were repainted, upper window seals were replaced, the windshield wiper wiring was repaired, and replacement hood louvers were installed in 2024.
The 14″ Rally wheels are mounted with 205/70 BFGoodrich redline tires. Braking is handled by front and rear drum brakes.
The cabin features front custom bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl, and the seller notes the interior was re-trimmed during the refurbishment under prior ownership. The sill plates were replaced in 2024, and interior appointments include a center console, a push-button AM radio, and lap belts.
The SS-branded steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge. Sunpro gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted below the radio. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership.
The 396ci L35 V8 was equipped from the factory with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 325 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine is said to have been overhauled under prior ownership, and a 1967 date-coded aluminum intake manifold with Winters markings was installed in 2024. Additional service in 2024 included rebuilding the Holley four-barrel carburetor, servicing the cooling system, and changing the oil. Full-length headers feed into a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.
The MY suffix corresponds with a 325-horsepower, 396ci L35 V8 for use with an automatic transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission and an optional Positraction differential.
